Incorporating color into your living space
You can feel spring coming on more and more when you walk outside.
When I go for walks with my dog, I get to see colorful flowers and trees in white, pink, orange, and other colors, which makes me feel happy and before I know it, I'm walking more than usual.
I walk around thinking, "How pretty, how cute," so it's a visual feast for the eyes. It's interesting how the colors that catch your eye can affect your mood.
So today I would like to talk about the effects of color.

80% of it is determined by sight?!
In our daily lives, we are exposed to a variety of stimuli, which are judged by our five senses.
- Vision
- Hearing
- Touch
- taste
- sense of smell
We are constantly receiving information from these various stimuli, but it is said that 80% of the information we receive is visual.
It's a common saying that "your impression of someone you meet for the first time is determined by your first impression," and I'm sure many of you have actually experienced this.
First impressions are influenced not only by people, but also by objects, scenery, and places.

For example, when you visit a cafe for the first time or happen to pass by a general store, you might think, "This looks nice" or "I'll go in," probably because of the image you get from the space that spreads out before you when you open the store's door.
When you think about it that way, it makes sense that 80% of information we receive is visual.
The inside of a home is also a space, and it is likely that we perceive it through our five senses to determine whether it is comfortable or not.
- The view from the window
- Outdoor sounds
- BGM to play in the living room
- Sofa seating comfort
- Delicious smells from the kitchen
All of these different stimuli create the overall impression of a space, but visual information has a particularly large impact, and it is said that of all the information that catches our eyes, the one we sense most instantly is "color."

The psychology and behavior of colors
For this reason, it is often thought that the placement of interior decor is important in creating the atmosphere of a home, but it turns out that color actually has a big effect.
In order to make your home, where you spend most of your life, a more comfortable space, you can create a more pleasant atmosphere by paying particular attention to color balance.
Colors have a variety of effects, and they have such a big influence on our psychology and behavior that there is even a field of study called "color psychology." Each color has its own psychological effect, such as colors that uplift/calm the mood, or colors that liberate/tighten the mind.
It might be a good idea to keep these effects in mind when choosing your interior.

PECOLO's focus on color
PECOLO designs a variety of interior items.
When I create each color, I imagine that when I suddenly notice an item that is always around me in my daily life, that "color" will make me feel a little richer.
PECOLO's food stand comes in a wide variety of colors, so you can choose a color that blends in with the atmosphere of your interior, or use it as an accent color. You can also enjoy it in a different way by placing a different color in your room to suit your mood or situation.
When incorporating items used by dogs and cats into your interior, it is best to keep these colors in mind, as this will add even more impact to your living space.

Interior and color harmony
PECOLO wants to create products that are comfortable for pet owners who cherish the beloved dogs and cats they live with.
If you pay attention to the balance of each item in your living space, such as the interior, flowers, paintings, and things used by your dogs and cats, you will see things that are in harmony, creating a comfortable and pleasant space to live in.
As we spend more time at home, creating a comfortable space can bring about calm and tranquility, which may in turn enrich our lives with dogs and cats.
By being mindful of various balances, we would like to improve the quality of our "coexistence" with dogs and cats.
